This winter I started experimenting with Bolex 16mm film motion picture cameras. I am currently writing what I hope to make into a feature length film sometime in the next year or so, as well as a couple other scripted shorts that I'll make later this winter and spring. The short movies and vignettes shown here are simply the result of me getting acquainted with the cameras, various lenses, film types, and filmmaking techniques. Despite their unfinished and highly imperfect quality, I figured some of you might enjoy seeing them.

Desert New Year - 1/1/13
Some raw 16mm motion picture film footage that I shot while camping in "Slab City" during my road trip through the California desert over the holidays. There's also a minute or so at the end of me hanging out with good friends in Los Angeles on New Years Day. Music is by Noah and the Whale, and Jay Farrar & Benjamin Gibbard
Christmas Time - 12/30/11
My lovely subjects deserve much better. Starring Jamie and Migee, and shot at Irwin's Green Lake Bakery and Pike Place Market. Really sweet Christmas song performed by Jamie Tidwell.
Green Lake - 12/04/11
This is my first attempt experimenting with a 16mm motion picture camera the last couple weeks of November. You get a pretty good idea of what autumn life is kinda like in my neighborhood. Starring Sue, dad, and Wesley.
