I bought this house in the fall of 2007 with great hopes. I always thought this restored 1903 house was beautiful, but after a century of encroaching streets and gentrification, it no longer had a proper place to sit. It was a corner lot at NE Prescott and 11th, not far from the Alberta Arts neighborhood. The house itself was far too big at times, with it's five bedrooms and four bathrooms, and was difficult for me to get settled into. But the more work and energy I put into it, the more I grew to love it. Every square inch of the property was torn up, redesigned and engineered to bring more functional space, privacy, and give the lot greater definition to compliment the house. I planned for the eventual addition of a garage, but that was not completed. All of the work took me a year and a half.
