It’s a Downieville Christmas!

Was invited by my good friends, BJ & Matt Barber, to visit with their family in Downieville, California for a few days over the Christmas holiday. It’s a small mountain village straddling the Yuba river to the north of Lake Tahoe. We spent much of our time corralling four golden retrievers, watching first-run movies provided by our very own member of the Academy, and had spirited discussions in the outdoor hot tub late into the winter night. I had a wonderful time, made possible by BJ’s mother, Liz’s generous hospitality and good will.
